Worshipping engages our whole lives
Broaden your congregation’s understanding of worship – recognising the importance of church worship, but also giving them a glimpse of how our whole lives can be offered back to God.
Whole Life Worship
Connect your Sunday services with Monday life – from their biblical foundations through to practical ideas – with this leader’s pack, book, and small group series.
Sunday worship has the potential to transform our daily actions.
Help each and every person in your church recognise the value of their work, activities, and relationships in God’s economy. The retired-busy crowd, the living-life-to-the-full crowd, the uncertain-in-faith crowd, the juggling-work-and-family crowd: come together and re-dedicate it all to God on Sundays. Make your Sundays about breathing in the Spirit of God, so you can breathe out the Spirit throughout the week.
In contrast to common service ideas based around bolstering personal devotion, church involvement, or family life, Whole Life Worship offers ways to focus on energising and releasing the congregation to live for Christ out in the world. Have people regularly reporting back about the ways they’ve put their faith into practice at work, at home, on their frontline. Watch the depth and breadth of discipleship grow as you connect the dots between what happens on a Sunday and the rest of the week.
Whole Life Worship was created in partnership with Sam and Sara Hargreaves, directors of Engage Worship. The resources are accessible separately and yet work powerfully together to inspire leaders and their congregations with a fresh, creative experience of worship that equips people for all of life.
Brimming with creative ideas and fresh approaches, this includes a workbook of five adaptable service plans that can be used as a sequential set or as a treasure chest of ideas. It includes digital content loaded with the materials needed for each service.
Five services teach these themes:
Worshipping engages our whole lives
Broaden your congregation’s understanding of worship – recognising the importance of church worship, but also giving them a glimpse of how our whole lives can be offered back to God.
Worshipping offers us fresh insight
Give your congregation a new perspective on their lives and frontlines as places where God is working through them to bring about his purposes.
Worshipping transforms our everyday actions
Explore how everything we do can be offered as worship – flowing out of our core identity as God’s holy people, chosen and dearly loved.
Worshipping inspires our everyday speech
Explore how the words of our worship helps us to see the world differently, and to speak and pray in line with God’s heart.
Worshipping focuses our wavering hearts
Help refocus your congregation on the God who is love and remind them that all our worship is a response to what he has done first for us in sending Jesus.
The ideal companion to the Journey Pack, this five-session series of small group Bible studies explores the connections between worship and everyday life.
Each session explores a Bible passage and its implications for worship in our Monday to Sunday lives. These work with short animated video introductions (the same as those included in the Journey Pack) to prompt discussion, and include ideas for prayer and take-away actions.
