In a nutshell
A church service should be the opposite of escapism (the tendency to
seek distraction and relief from reality). A church service is neither
fantasy nor distraction. Our Sunday gatherings offer a chance for
recalibration: a reminder of our place in God’s purposes for his
world, so that when each service ends, we return to our frontlines
re-energised, re-equipped, and resolved.
