Over the years we’ve shared various poems by Mark Greene at Christmas, in our Christmas cards and newsletters, and with our Facebook and Twitter friends. To bring joy and beauty, but also to help all of us contemplate God’s incarnation in deeper, richer ways.
We’ve filmed a few of Mark’s poems this year, taken from his collection Adventure, to help you find and use them however works best for you: as a reflection for a Zoom carol service, as the jumping-off point for a dramatic sketch, to send to friends and family, or to use in your own advent devotions.
You can watch and download the videos below.* As you listen to the poems, may you be reminded of the wonder of God’s love and care for us, of his gracious entering into ordinary, daily life 2,000 years ago, and of his presence in your own life today.
* You may download these videos for use in live services, and livestream or upload them provided they are embedded as part of a full service. Credit should be included to Mark Greene, and a link to licc.org.uk/adventure.
