We’re on a mission to inspire and equip every Christian in the UK to live as whole-life disciples of Jesus in every part of their lives. It’s a big mission – and we need a strong financial foundation to achieve it.

Established by John Stott in 1982, LICC is working to help embed whole-life discipleship in the culture of the UK church. We’re a small but vibrant team, and by God’s grace our work has major national impact. We’ve grown significantly in the last decade and plan to accelerate that growth over the next five years.

Now, we’re looking for an experienced and effective fundraising leader with the commitment, skills, and initiative to help deliver our income goals.

The Director of Fundraising will lead our donor relationship strategy to support LICC’s growing impact – from reaching new donors and encouraging fresh donor relationships, to deepening existing connections and maturing our supporter community.

As well as an experienced strategist, you’re a skilled hands-on practitioner. You can write and present compelling fundraising communications to a range of audiences, including major donors, churches, trusts, and individuals. You’ll lead us in growing our fundraising team, and put systems and processes in place to ensure our income goals are met.

We’re looking for an enthusiast for the whole-life cause, a self-motivated leader with excellent people management and interpersonal skills, capable of representing LICC at all levels. We need someone with a proactive, innovative, and collaborative approach – and the commitment and ability to deliver results.

If you sense this role might be right for you, have the qualities we’re looking for, and would like to play a central part in LICC’s future, please email your application to

Your application should comprise of:

  • A covering letter of not more than one and a half pages outlining your motivation and relevant experience for the role. Please do make mention of your Christian faith* and motivation to contribute to LICC’s mission
  • A full CV including a full employment history showing responsibilities held and relevant achievements
  • The names of three referees – one professional, which should cover recent years of employment; one personal; and your current church leader. These details will be held in strictest confidence and references will not be sought until later in the process and not without your prior agreement

Applications will be reviewed as they are received, so please do not wait until the closing date to apply.

Closing date for applications: 12.00 noon on 4 June 2021
First interviews: 15 and 16 June 2021
Final interviews: 5 July 2021

Please contact Nigel Hall on the email address above if you have any specific questions about this opportunity.

Many thanks for your interest in the work of LICC.
